Volume Expansion and Backup
Simply connect Synology Expansion Unit RXD1219sas to the corresponding Synology server1 and it is ready to use. No additional software installation is required to upgrade your storage space seamlessly.
The RXD1219sas is a flexible solution supporting on-the-fly volume expansion or serving as a local backup destination. When your Synology server runs low on storage space, RXD1219sas provides easy capacity expansion by adding 12 additional 3.5" / 2.5" SAS drives to the system.
Maximum Reliability Design
The redundant power supplies ensure maximum service uptime, while the key system components including SAS modules and system fans are modularized. In case of failure, they can be replaced easily to ensure maximum system uptime. The hot-swappable drive trays can also be replaced with ease if malfunctioned.
With the Synology tool-less design sliding rail kit RKS1317, you can experience the fast and secure rack cabinet installation effortlessly.
High-Performance Data Transmission
The mini-SAS HD provides high bandwidth connectivity to achieve maximum throughput during data transfer between your Synology server and RXD1219sas. It allows the drives in the connected RXD1219sas to operate as if they are the internal drives of the Synology server with no data latency.
